The name of the company is established on the base of KOLO for wheel and WAG for wagons. 

KOLOWAG is family company where 3 generations from Yonchev family are working together, fully dedicated to the mission wheelsets and wagons.

KOLOWAG is leading producer of wheelsets in Europe with long history. The first wheelset was produced in Septemvri, Bulgaria back in 1983 from Emil Yonchev-senior.

Since 2008 up to now, KOLOWAG produces between 25000 and 30000 wheelsets each year for all leading wagons owners and wagon manufacturers in Europe.

KOLOWAG produces wide range of freight wagons and bogies, thanks to the own RD and Design department, where experienced wagons designers and constructors are joining forces with the young ambitious engineers to create the sustainable design solution for every customer need.

The quality of the manufactured wagons and bogies is ensured by the modern technology of laser cutting, CNC milling centres, welding robots and it is guaranteed by the Quality Department team consisting of 64 experts, specialized in different control and testing,
