DPB Rail Infra Service has taken delivery of two Siemens Mobility Vectron locomotives, expanding its fleet at the beginning of 2026.

The two locomotives were handed over by Siemens Mobility on 13 January in Dessau before being transferred to Krieglach. There, they were wrapped in DPB livery and prepared for cross-border operations. Following the handover, both locomotives entered service on international freight duties, with their first assignment running towards Slovakia.

DPB Rail Infra Service said the locomotives have been named “Anna” and “Paula”, continuing the company’s internal naming practice. The handover involved representatives from DPB Rail Infra Service and Siemens Mobility Austria.

The Austrian operator expects a further two Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility by the end of February 2026. With these additions, DPB Rail Infra Service is continuing the expansion of its locomotive fleet for international freight transport.
